Quantum Secret Communication without an Encryption Key
نویسندگان
چکیده
Quantum cryptographic methods increase security over classical methods. To date, quantum algorithms aim to distribute a secret key to be used afterwards to encrypt messages. The method described in this paper does not use an encryption key at all. An array of qubits is transmitted from the source to the destination with the message encoded in the phase of the qubit. The secrecy of the message derives from the nonclonability principle. Our algorithm relies on the common assumption that public information can be authenticated. The alforithm shows an increased detection rate per qubit, 33%, which is higher than the one commonly used in literature, namely 25%.

An efficient secure channel coding scheme based on polar codes
In this paper, we propose a new framework for joint encryption encoding scheme based on polar codes, namely efficient and secure joint secret key encryption channel coding scheme. The issue of using new coding structure, i.e. polar codes in Rao-Nam (RN) like schemes is addressed. Cryptanalysis methods show that the proposed scheme has an acceptable level of security with a relatively smaller ke...
متن کاملSecurity of quantum key distribution protocol with two-way classical communication assisted by one-time pad encryption
In this paper, we consider a quantum key distribution protocol (QKD) with twoway classical communication that is assisted by one-time pad encryption. We propose a two-way preprocessing that uses one-time pad encryption by previously shared secret key, and the net key rate of the QKD with proposed preprocessing exceeds the key rate of the QKD without it. The preprocessing is reduced to the entan...
متن کاملEconomically Improving Message-Unilaterally-Transmitted Quantum Secure Direct Communication to Realize Two-Way Communication
We present a subtle idea to economically improve message-unilaterally-transmitted quantum secure direct communication (QSDC) protocols to realize two-way secure direct communication. Suppose Alice and Bob securely share a secret key. When the message sender, say, Alice, wants to send her secret messages to Bob, she can first use the secret key to encrypt her secret messages, then she publicly s...
متن کاملSecurity of quantum key distribution protocols using two-way classical communication or weak coherent pulses
A fundamental problem in cryptography is to enable two distant parties, traditionally called Alice and Bob, to communicate in absolute privacy, even in presence of an eavesdropper, Eve. It is a well known fact that a secret key, i.e., a randomly chosen bit string held by both Alice and Bob, but unknown to Eve, is sufficient to perform this task (one-time pad encryption). Thus, the problem of se...
متن کاملCryptography from Quantum mechanical viewpoint
Cryptography is an art and science of secure communication. Here the sender and receiver are guaranteed the security through encryption of their data, with the help of a common key. Both the parties should agree on this key prior to communication. The cryptographic systems which perform these tasks are designed to keep the key secret while assuming that the algorithm used for encryption and dec...
